Children in Need

Infant Community, Nursery, Rec and Form 1 at Princes Avenue

As you may know, our school has been supporting the BBC Children in Need appeal for many years. Since 1980, Children in Need has raised over £600 million to change the lives of disadvantaged and disabled children and young people in the UK.

Last week, we carried on our school tradition of supporting this worthy cause. At the Princes Avenue site, our the staff pulled together to organise and run cake sales and different stalls, including our Nearly New Toy Sale

Thank you to all the parents for their generosity in donating toys and books and for baking cakes to sell and teachers who gave their time and effort to make this such a successful event.

It is our pleasure to announce that through the efforts of the children, parents and teachers we raised over £500!

Forms 2 - 6 at Muswell Avenue

Last Friday 13th November saw all the pupils from the Muswell Avenue site in high spirits, ready to tackle their sponsored events to raise money for Children in Need. Each class had decided on a sponsored event to carry out and the children eagerly went out and gathered their sponsorships. There were some impressive hats for the Form 4 Mad Hatter run, which looked like great fun. The children in Form 5 & 6 all got eagerly involved scoring goals and completing their obstacle courses in the playground. Form 2 thoroughly enjoyed getting down to the beat and doing the limbo and lastly Form 3 took part in their sponsored swim this week, having lots of fun in the process.

Through our sponsored events, Form 2-6 children have already raised in excess of £1000. This is an incredible accomplishment that demonstrates what caring and thoughtful families we have at Norfolk House. If your child has been collecting sponsorships and has not yet returned the form and money to school, please could we have these in by Wednesday 25th November so that we can deposit the money into the CiN bank account? We look forward to letting you know the final amount raised.  Well done boys and girls!
