Forest School

Posted on February 03 2017

This term in Forest School Club we have been making lots of crafts using natural materials found the woods. This week we have been weaving using just sticks and wool. Although tricky at first, with some practise the children were able to master the technique. We look forward to finishing them off this Friday! We used different colour wool to get a striped effect. The Reception children were amazed and are keen to have a go at this during their sessions at Highgate Woods soon.

“I enjoyed forest school club because I like weaving and it was fun”- Sebastian

“I really liked weaving because it was really fun. I’m making it for myself because I liked it. We used wool and sticks from the woods”- Zen

“I like weaving because it was fun and finally I got the hang of it!” Poppy
