Last month, just after the end of term, I played in the London chess championship for 7 matches spread over 2 days. I won 3 out of 7 games 2 on the first day, 1 on the second. Most of the children playing in the tournament decided to bring their coaches! The first 2 matches I played I lost and then I came back to win the next 2. In the second game I lost my first 2 games and won the last. My first match was played against the winner of the tournament, he won all of his games. Overall I thought there was about 80 kids in the under 10 minor and I came around the top 40. I think I did well in the tournament and next year hopefully I will play in it again.
