Thank you Norfolk House for such a warm welcome over my first weeks! I am thrilled to be your new Deputy Head Teacher and I look forward to this exciting year ahead.
I have been a teacher for 20 years this December and each school I have worked at has played a large part in creating wonderful life long memories and I’m sure Norfolk House will hold a special place in my life for years to come.
I join Norfolk House after being a Deputy Head Teacher in two different schools over the last 13 years. As an early years trained teacher, I have dedicated my teaching career to ensuring children have the best possible start to their educational journey. Starting school is an exciting, if slightly anxious time for both children and their parents and I have been very impressed by the confidence of the IC, Nursery and Reception children (and parents!), their resilience and their can do attitude to starting at Norfolk House. As a parent of a 3 and 4 year old myself, I am acutely aware of the importance in getting the transition right and myself and all the staff team are committed to ensuring every child has a great beginning.
Along with my husband Ken, I am joyfully a parent to Solomon [4] and Isaac [3]. Although originally from Australia, I have lived in North London for many years and as a family we visit many of the same places you probably do - we love Alexandra Palace, Trent Park and the many varied cultural activities in the wider vicinity. If you see me about - please do come and say hello!
I look forward to getting to know yourselves and your children over the coming term.
