Form 5 Senior School Evening

Posted on: November 20th 2020

On Thursday we held our annual Senior School Evening which was an online event this year. We were fortunate to be joined by Leon Roberts (Belmont), James Fowler (Aldenham), Lindsey Hughes (Channing) and Jonny Taylor (Merchant Taylors’) who shared insights about their schools with our Form 5 parents and answered questions. Whilst they all promoted the different strengths of their individual schools, what was great to see was their shared ethos and advice to choosing the right school and their desire to really get to know each child through their admissions process.

It was wonderful to hear from the Heads about ex-Norfolk House pupils who have not only successfully integrated into senior school, but are kind, active and engaging members of their new school communities. I believe the secret to this success is the excellent support they receive from the teachers throughout combined with our strong home-school partnership and a focus on helping the children be the best versions of themselves. The children we have at Norfolk House are what made me decide to join back in 2015 and the individual approach, care and allowing the children’s own personalities to shine throughout our school is key in helping them succeed in the 11+ process and beyond. Through ensuring each child is well known and nurtured from the time they join us we hope to meet our aim of helping them reach their potential within an environment where they feel valued, fulfilled, confident and emotionally secure. I certainly hope this has been your experience of Norfolk House and no matter what year your child is in we look forward to being part of this important journey.
