Last night was our hugely successful Night at the Museum event, which celebrated the children's history learning from Infant Community right through to Form 6 and was the culmination of our focus week work as well as the children's history curriculum since September.
I was incredibly proud that the school hosted such a phenomenal event and how hard all the staff and pupils worked to make it happen and run so smoothly. In addition, the fantastic attendance by many of our families from both Norfolk House and Montessori House brought our school community together in the most positive of ways.
The quality of the children's work and learning was outstanding and the end result was complimented endlessly by many parents; it seems everyone was blown away by the entire thing!
I think it proves that giving pupils opportunity to express their learning in such a creative way has a huge impact - the smiles on our pupils' faces and their pride was evident, not to mention the quality of the debates from F5&6.
So thank you to all staff and pupils for the incredibly hard work put into making this happen, to all our families who attended the event, Miss Howson for running her well attended 'safe surfing' drop in workshop, FoNH for their support at the 'Nobody Inn' and finally, I can't end my blog without massive praise for Mr Smith for his vision and his precision in organising and orchestrating such a massive event and his unerring and infectious enthusiasm in bringing history to life at Norfolk House.
