It is hard to believe we are only a month from the end of another academic year. Whilst we look forward to wonderful events such as Sports Day, the Summer Fayre, the Nursery Celebration and Awards Day at the end of the year, we have to look ahead to the next academic year and beyond.
As we approach the end of term, we also come to the end of the current School Development Plan. Over the last few months, the leadership team and staff have been identifying ambitious goals for Norfolk House for the next three years. Feedback from parents form an important part of the process in identifying new priorities and for the first time, the strong ‘pupil voice’ will play a crucial part. Our excellent School Council have been working with their classes to gather ideas about what the children would like to be included in the School Development Plan, which is so important as they are the ones that are affected most by future developments.
Our children are incredibly articulate and creative in their thinking. I am always impressed with their ability to share their carefully considered ideas with such confidence, so I’m sure that their input into this important process will be both insightful and inspiring.
Over the remainder of this academic year, the input from the children, parents and teachers will be used to set the course for the next leg of this exciting journey. I look forward to seeing what the children believe will help make their experience even better and to sharing this with you in the Autumn term.
