Ms Habgood's Blog - 6 December 2013

Posted on: December 6th 2013

A very short blog from me this week, as the Head Boy and Head Girl have kindly done their termly round up as a video blog in the newsletter. Lots has been going on and it’s starting to feel very festive around here! The children have been enjoying all sorts of treats, with the pantomime visit to Chicken Shed on Tuesday, Reception, PrePrep and Form 2’s Christmas party, as well as our Carols by ‘Church’light last night, where there was some impressive singing from not only the choir, but the beautiful voices of our children performing, trios, duos and even solos!

We’ve still got our inaugural Festive Fayre on Monday from 3:10pm to come, which has been organised by our Positive Playground Committee to raise money for playground equipment. I love when the children have such fantastic ideas; we make sure we do everything we can to support their enterprises! It’s very exciting to see how hard they have worked, under the dedication and direction of Miss Joyce and Mrs Cannon. We hope to see you there on Monday.

With less than a week to go, I would like to say what a successful term the children have had, and once again they’ve made us very proud. Their reports, which I’ve been checking and commenting on this week, have shown an enormous amount of progress academically, as well as how well they’ve worked on collaborative learning and in their friendliness towards each other. A well deserved rest from Wednesday for all, following Rec and KS1’s nativity, which I’m immensely looking forward to.

Have a lovely weekend, and I hope to see lots of you tonight at the FoNH Christmas Party!
