The Reception children have had lots of fun learning new songs in their Music lessons with Mrs Malcomess.
They have been learning songs involving numbers and have been adding actions to make their performances more exciting.

In Form 1, we have been learning to use adjectives to describe different characters in stories. The story that we read last week is ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ by Judith Kerr. We did a lot of activities around the story and it has become one of our favourites.
After reading the story, we used the Think, Pair, Share strategy to come up with adjectives to describe the tiger such as long tail, pink nose and sharp claws. Then we used the same strategy to come up with adjectives to describe the tiger’s personality.
We used our creativity and observational skills to draw a picture of the tiger, looking at the illustrations in the story and focussing on the details. After this, we wrote all the adjectives we could think of around our illustrations. Here is some of our work...
