On Friday 4th March the Under 9’s and Under 11’s netball teams from Norfolk House travelled to Salcombe to play against them for the second time this term.
The younger girls played first and all of the spectators were amazed at the pace and excitement of the game. The girls played brilliantly and the majority of their passing and movement on court was fast and accurate. The final score was a very well deserved 5-5 which we were hugely proud of, especially considering the first time the girls played Salcombe they lost by several goals. Their result last week was a real testament to the dedication and training the younger girls have undertaken and they should be commended for their achievements.
The older girls were really looking forward to their match as they had previously beaten Salcombe by one goal to nil. After a slightly hesitant start the team pulled together and sharpened up their passing and shooting, making them a real challenge for the opposing team. After another fast and furious game the girls were thrilled that the final score ended up at 5-4 to Norfolk House.
I have been really impressed by all of the girls’ efforts this term and the fact that we have only lost one match shows that their hard work is paying off. Having so much parental support at the matches has really encouraged the girls so we are very grateful to all of the parents who have cheered the girls on!
I hope some of you can join us in our final fixture at Vita Pax on Friday 18th March. Let’s end the season on a high note with another victory!
