On Friday 24th June, Norfolk House held its annual Sports Day at Queenswood School Sports Ground.
The children took part in a wide variety of events including egg and spoon, track racing, high jump, long jump and various throwing events, whilst the parents watched and enjoyed picnics in the grounds.
A few brave Mums and Dads tried to show the children how to do it by entering the ever popular parent races!
In addition to competing against each other the children took great pleasure in winning points for their respective school houses – Clive, Nelson and Wellington. The children particularly enjoyed Tug of War where each house played against each other.
The winning house was Clive which managed to score an impressive 262 points, followed by Wellington with 210 points and Nelson with 196 points.
Headteacher, Mr Malley commented: “What a wonderful day! The whole school community enjoyed the competition, the teamwork and the fun of athletics and I was very impressed with the effort made by all of the pupils at the school. Well done everyone!”
