Excellent wins for our Netball Teams

On Friday 21^st January the Under 9’s and Under 11’s netball teams from Norfolk House braved the cold at Broomfield Park and played two very energetic matches against the girls from Salcombe.

Mrs Osborne provided the following match report for both games:

All of the girls involved played extremely well, remembering to mark their opponents closely and move into any available space on court. The younger girls made a huge effort to keep up with what turned out to be a rather tall team and played valiantly to the end! The final score was 7-0 to Salcombe but that did not reflect the brilliant play from the Norfolk House girls involved.

The Under 11’s team worked very well together and showed excellent attacking and defending skills. The final score of 1-0 to Norfolk House was well deserved and it was a relief to see that the immensely high netball posts were not going to conquer both of our teams!

Particular congratulations should go to Maia Hughes and Daisy Martin from the Under 9’s team who also played for the Under 11’s and made a huge contribution to the team. We also extend our thanks to all of the parents who supported the girls and we look forward to seeing you at future fixtures.
