Norfolk House has organised a number of exciting events in the run up to World Book Day.
Key Stage 1 will be taking part in dance workshops run by West End choreographers and dancers exploring how to bring the classic children's book, Where the Wild Things Are to life, through dance.
Forms 3 and 4 will be visited by an educationalist from the Roald Dahl Museum who will share the techniques that Roald Dahl used in his writing and help the children try them out within their own stories.
Forms 5 and 6 will go to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre to take part in a workshop exploring one of Shakespeare's plays.
All of these events are being funded by the school along with a generous donation from Friends of Norfolk House.
On Thursday 1st March, children will have to dress up as their favourite book characters to mark World Book Day! Each child will receive a £1 book token, which can be used at the bookshop to purchase a book from a selection of eight books, or children can choose to use their token as payment towards a book of their choice.
In the spirit of World Book Day, we would like families to buy and donate a book or make a small financial contribution to our school library; please send your contributions to the office on Thursday 1st March 2012.
