Form 1 Blog

Posted on: October 6th 2017

We are five weeks into the new academic year and all the Form 1 children have settled well into their new classrooms. In such a short time we have seen a visible change in all our pupils as they have risen to the challenges of a new curriculum and new expectations. They are becoming more confident, independent and responsible learners; encouraged by their teachers to be risk-takers and tackle new challenges with a positive attitude. The Form 1 learners are taking greater responsibility for their learning, reflecting on what they have achieved and thinking of ways to further improve.

We asked the children about their experience now they are in Form 1 and here are some of the things they said:

"I like ice-skating because it is so much fun." Massimiliano

"I like Golden Time because I dance with Mrs Jowett.” Una

"I like Maths because I love numbers and I use my brain a lot." Elli

"I like Art because I like drawing and colouring." Coco

"I like reading because there is a lot of history in books." Adi

"I like Ballet because we learn how to dance’. Matilda

"I love Art because I like painting and drawing portraits". Lapo

"I like swimming and because I learned how to do backstroke."  Alex

"I like playtime because we get to play with the telescopes and paper planes." Fox

"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." Benjamin Franklin.

We look forward to a fantastic year. What a great start, keep it up Form 1!
