We are three weeks into the new academic year and all the Form 1 children have settled well into their new classrooms. In such a short time we have seen a visible change in all our pupils as they have risen to the challenges of a new curriculum and new expectations. They are becoming more confident, independent and responsible learners; encouraged by their teachers to be risk-takers and tackle new challenges with a positive attitude. The Form 1 learners are taking greater responsibility for their learning, reflecting on what they have achieved and thinking of ways to further improve.
We asked the children about their experience now they are in Form 1 and here are some of the things they said:
“I love everything in Form 1!” Isabel
“ I love reading books with my friends.” Anaiya
“I love Learning!” Florence
“I love numbers and writing and I am having a good time in Form 1.” Casper
“I like break times because I can play with Anaiya.” Lucy
“I love the riddles that Mrs. Jowett reads to us every day.” Henry
“I enjoy using puppets in my class library.” Archie
“I love going to the playground because it is so much fun.” Kaiden
“I like Mrs. Jowett!” Leo
“I love Art!” Amelie
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” Benjamin Franklin.
We look forward to a fantastic year. What a great start, keep it up Form 1!
