A recount of our Roman Day in Form 2

When I arrived at school, I walked into the classroom and I thought that some Romans and Celts were going to destroy our classroom! Then I realised that it was actually my friends dressed up! Everyone looked amazing.

First, we listened to the story of Romulus and Remus and the legend of how Rome was created. Then we learnt about how the Roman Empire grew from Italy to nearly the whole of Europe and other parts of the world.

After lunch, we compared how Roman and Celtic warriors were different and similar. I thought that Romans had better armour because they got protected very well.

Finally, we worked in groups to create our own Roman shield. This was definitely my favourite part of the day!

A recount of our trip the Verulamium Museum, St Albans

Tuesday 24th November

Today was an exciting day! It was fun today, we were going to a Roman museum.

First, we went on the coach. It took a long time. We played games on the coach.

Then we went to the museum. We saw the real Roman things. It was awesome.

We looked at the things that they used. It was exciting. We got to touch them.

It was fun because we had groups with adults and looked at awesome stuff.
