Form 2 recently enjoyed a trip to St Albans to ‘travel back in time’ and see what life was like in the Roman times.
Pupils spent time looking at many of the ancient artefacts that were on display and completed booklets enticing them to find and draw some of the ornaments and mosaics that they saw.
Form 2 participated in a workshop where they handled very precious, old items and had to work out what they thought they might be used for. The gentleman holding the workshop was very impressed at the knowledge and behaviour of Form 2.
After lunch, the children had a chance to run around and get some fresh country air before walking around the remains of the Roman Theatre.
Read some comments from Form 2 below:
Mia: “I loved it that we could touch old artefacts from a long time ago”
Faris: “I loved the mosaics”
Daniel: “I liked seeing the old theatre and touch some old stuff”
Amelia: “I liked the mosaics”
A great educational day out. Well done, Form 2.
