Form 2’s Exciting Visit to Rye Meads Nature Reserve

Posted on: June 29th 2012

Read Alice's account of Form 2's visit to Rye Meads:On Monday, we went to Rye Meads nature reserve for the day. It was so much fun! First, Marian the group leader showed us how to use binoculars then we went on a walk to a bird hut to spot different birds. We saw a coot, a moorhen and a female swan with her four cygnets. Then we had our lunch.  After lunch, we went to the pond to search for different creatures. We used a net and gloves to catch the animals then we used a key to find out which animals we had caught. After that, we walked back and we saw a fox named Alice! Then we went home on the coach. We had an exhausting, but fun day at Rye Meads.
