Form 3’s Ancient Greece Day

Form 3’s recent study of ancient Greece was brought to life during a fun, entertaining and enriching day of learning with various activities planned to immerse the children in Ancient Greek culture.

The children were thrilled to have the opportunity to dress up and akin to stepping back in time, Norfolk House School was overtaken by a range of Greek hoplites, Gods, and Goddesses, including Medusa, Athena, Zeus, Hera, and Ares. Everyone looked fantastic - well done and thank you parents!

The day commenced with the children examining the Greek abacus and solving problems based on it. Next, the children were enthralled to learn all about Gods and Goddesses. Then, they got to examine Greek architecture and sketched Greek columns. After lunch, they learned about mythical creatures and listened to some Greek myths. They learned about the Greek alphabet and some Greek words. The children even got to try out some Greek dancing.
