Diary Entry from Hiro Mahmood.
Dear Diary,
Today was a fantastic day, we went to the Tower of London! First, we went to see the Ravens: the legend says that if they fly away, the whole of the Tower of London will crumble!
Next, we went to the White Tower. On the stairs we saw the place where the two princes, Prince Edward and Prince Richard’s bones had been found. Inside the White Tower we saw a lot of weapons and a lot of armour from throughout the ages. The best part was when we saw a giant dragon made out of most of the weapons, and inside the body was one huge ruby, one large diamond and a lot of gold coins.
After that, we went to see the crown jewels, they were in chronological order. Next, we saw a really big sword, encrusted with diamonds, emeralds and rubies on its handle. Finally, before lunch, we went to the torture tower… here we saw all the different torture methods that had been used over time - the rack was terrifying!
At the end of the day we all visited the shop, to buy different bits to remind us of our trip.
All in all, it was a really great trip, and I really enjoyed it!
