The Infant Community have thoroughly enjoyed their topic on fruit. They have been learning to name and recognise lots of different fruits - apple, banana, pineapple, orange, lime,lemon, melon etc. In a group they have been taking turns to name and recognise a fruit they are shown, then match it to the same fruit pictures around the class.
They have been colouring lots of different fruit pictures and have all painted a large pineapple within the lines. As well as sponge and finger painted a strawberry, with great results. For the last few weeks the children have been tasting lots of different fruits at snack time. They have tasted pineapple, orange, apple, banana, pear, apricot, strawberry and mango. The favourite fruits within the group have been strawberries and mangoes.
