Harvest Festival

Posted on: November 4th 2016

The Harvest Festival this year was packed with singing, dancing, instrument playing and more. From the Senior Choir and School Choir singing to amazing instrument playing by the Ensemble.

It opened up with Ben Craven singing his heart out whilst the audience were seated. Year 6 performed a musical piece based on the ‘Saints Go Marching In’. This performance involved piano playing, people playing the French horn, violas, violins and using their voices. Form 5 sung for us with their beautiful voices whilst Max Greenwood played his violin.

All the classes performed a song based upon our core values we have been working on - caring, reflective, open-minded, thinker, principled, resilient, ambitious and communicator. Georgina and Aroub played the piano whilst the Senior Choir and Ensemble performed an amazing piece of music, showing great teamwork. Then the Senior Choir sang ‘I’ll Be There’ to represent our core value- caring. Father Pybus spoke about the harvest and the importance of the local community in supporting others in the area. Our last performance was when the School Choir and Senior Choir combined forces to sing ‘The Harvest Samba’. Mr Jowett then thanked everyone for their donations which would be passed on to the Soup Kitchen at Dukes Avenue Baptist Church to feed the homeless in Muswell Hill.
