We are pleased to announce that the winner of the helium balloon race is Charlotte in 2H, whose balloon travelled all the way to Norfolk, a whopping 131 miles! Well done Charlotte. In second place is Huey’s balloon. It travelled 65.3 miles, towards Cambridge and last but not least came Barnaby’s balloon. His balloon travelled to Hertfordshire, which is 11.9 miles away.
The initiative was a massive success, altogether we raised over £500 for this year’s school charity, Great Ormond Street Hospital.
This year, the Student Council have had a great year. We came up with some amazing fresh ideas, like the new house meetings and the fundraiser, the helium balloon race. All our goals this year were fulfilled as we raised a substantial amount of money for GOSH and encouraged lots of new friendships across the whole school. We had excellent feedback from the house meetings, as most people wanted them to be longer and more frequent. We all enjoyed discussing our aim to become the best house this year and had lots of fun designing our own team crest!
All of the members of the student council have enjoyed representing the school this year and organising this year’s initiatives.
