Review of the Houses of Parliament

As soon as we stepped foot in the Houses of Parliament, we knew we were in for a treat. A gargantuan hall filled with elaborate paintings surrounded us as we met with our intelligent tour guide, Frank. He escorted us around the Palace and told us many facts about each room. We were able to even see the Houses of Commons and the House of Lords, which is where politicians debate about the construction of laws. We learnt about how the politicians agree on laws and we also found out it was very traditional that they simply just take a vote. In fact the whole world of politics is old-fashioned; an example is if one of the MP’s are late they will not let them in and they will just close the doors. This applies to all MP’s including the Prime Minister. Overall the trip was intriguing and all of Form 2 and 6 enjoyed an engaging trip.
