The Infant Community have been looking at 'Summer' as their topic for the last few weeks of term. As a group we have been discussing about keeping cool in the sun, wearing sun hats and protecting ourselves with suntan lotion, as well as encouraging the children to drink lots of water throughout the day.
We have been making the most of the beautiful summer weather, with listening to stories on the rug, playing in the mud kitchen and exploring water play, splashing and pouring water. We have also been practising running from A - B in readiness for our Picnic and Sports day on the last day of term.
All the children have been colouring summer pictures and painting an ice cream or lolly inside the lines and making an ice cream collage. Sticking the cone and layers of ice cream then adding cream and a cherry on top.
