On Thursday 18th January Mr Charman and Mr Ashton took all of our Year 6 boys and a few of our Year 5s to enter the U11 ISA North London Football tournament.
With 32 teams split between four pools we had a hard task ahead, but the boys were determined to give it their best shot. The day started well with the A team winning their first game by seven goals and winning a closely fought second and the B team drawing their first two. The B team displayed great resilience in both games as they went 2-0 and 1-0 down early in the games. Both teams then went through difficult spells and lost a couple of games before rallying and winning their last two.
The amazing A-team consisting of Aaron, Alex, Ben, Chris, Max, Sohan and Tommy won five of their seven games and lost two to finish 3rd in their pool (of eight), narrowly missing out on a quarter final place.
The brilliant B-team consisting of Barnaby, Daniel, Harris, Max, Michael, Oliver and Zain, with four Year 5s showed great resilience and skill to finish 4th in their pool of eight.
Both Mr Ashton and Mr Charman were really proud of the boys' determination, teamwork and attitude, and thanks to them and the supporters for making it a very enjoyable afternoon.
