London in Bloom Mini Meadow Competition

Posted on: October 7th 2011

It is not long now until the Olympic and Paralympic Games begin. As part of the Get Set Network, we would like to invite our children to enter the London in Bloom’s Mini Meadow schools competition which is inspired by the wildflower meadows in the Olympic Park. London in Bloom are looking for schools that would love to make a ‘mini meadow’ that is grown inside the strangest object imaginable. It could be in a bucket, a wheelbarrow, or in lots of mouldy footballs. If you are interested, please e-mail your ideas to Miss Bennett by Friday 14th October. Please note that any containers/objects will have to be provided by the children.

Also, pupils in Enterprise Club are very excited about their upcoming Key Stage 2 biscuit sale on Wednesday 12th October, which will take place at morning break-time. The children will be making biscuits to sell in order to make a profit.  Biscuits will be priced at 50p.
