Last Friday, I had the pleasure of accompanying the chess team to Hereward House for 3 rounds of chess, along with Ms Habgood. I am pleased to announce the overall score was 11-7 to Norfolk House; well done to Sanjay, Samuel, Henry, Archie, Kieran and Dylan.
Norfolk House also hosted the first leg of the newly devised North London chess tournament on Saturday 24th November! We were ahead by half a point after the first 2 rounds, but unfortunately, we were pipped at the post by Coleridge and came runners up, missing out by half a point.
Both events gave the team a real boost, and I look forward to accompanying them in the future and seeing our team go from strength to strength! Watch out for more fixture reports in the New Year!
