Mr. Ashton and I took Kieran Maharajah, Charlotte Chan, Oliver Chan and Oliver Lyndon-Stanford to Lochinver House on 25th September, they skillfully played two matches each. After the first round we were equal with two points each. The day ended with us being beat by just one point. Well done to the team for a great effort and thank you to Lochinver House for hosting.
The under 9's Chess tournament was hosted at Lochinver House on 2nd October. This was a great experience for the under 9's, most of them had never played in a tournament before. Eleven schools took part, three rounds of chess were played. Although we didn't reach the top half of the score board, I think we came 8th, I'd like to thank Jaymin Murray Patel, Oliver Chan, William Krohn & Jack Osler for their impressive behaviour throughout the afternoon.
On both occasions the children were great ambassadors for the school.
