There have been exciting developments in our new front garden recently! Earlier this year, Mr Holt transformed the appearance of the garden area, repainting the fence and storage cupboards a grand green and expertly building four new raised beds. Then, a few weeks ago, with the generous help of Mrs Sabur, we planted some vegetables and crossed our fingers that they would grow...
And did they! Astounding everyone, the garden bloomed beautifully and suddenly, we had luscious lettuce, crunchy courgettes, sweet strawberries and much more blossoming here, there and everywhere.
This week, the lettuce grown in our garden featured on Chef Kevin’s salad bar and the staff and children enjoyed chomping on our homegrown produce, free from guilt about food miles or damage to the environment.
Boy it feels good to go green.
