The Autumn Term is always a very busy time as children settle into new classes and new roles are allocated around the school
This week we held our school council elections.This is an important role, as the school council is a group of children who have been elected through a democratic vote by their classmates. They represent the views of all children to improve the school. At Norfolk House we value pupil voice and encourage independent thinking.
We had an overwhelmingly positive response from the children, with over 40% of pupils in F2-F6 preparing and carrying out speeches. The teachers were very impressed with the ideas put forward by the children in their classes and we look forward to the school council representatives bringing all these ideas to meetings.

The children on the Princes Avenue site will be represented on school council by our Head Girl, Dillan Spooner and Head Boy, George Davies; who will visit the other site to share ideas from school council meetings with the younger children and gather their views to take to school council meetings.
