Nursery explore Springtime

Nursery children have been investigating the signs of Spring. We have looked at signs of spring like blossom, daffodils, tree buds and crocuses. Some children explored making a spring forest out card and tissue paper.

This week we named the parts of a daffodil and dissected it using scissors. We discovered it was sticky inside the stem where the water had been stored by the plant. We also discovered yellow pollen inside the trumpet part of the daffodil.

Everyone was very focused on their task and showed good communication skills when they talked about what they could see in the daffodil. Well done Nursery.
