Pupils from Norfolk House School recently sold items of their own artwork, to raise over £1,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Children from the Nursery up to Year 6 each chose one piece of their artwork, inspired by a range of artists, to be framed and sold, with all proceeds going to the school’s chosen charity.
The artwork was sold at a special Art Exhibition, which provided an opportunity for parents to view all of their children’s art work and to purchase their favourite pieces.
Head Teacher, Paul Jowett, said: “Here at Norfolk House, we place great value on the expressive arts, as part of our broad and balanced curriculum and it is wonderful to see children expressing themselves at the same time as developing their understanding of social responsibility.”
