Reception have had a fantastic time settling into life at Norfolk House. They are now enjoying being in school full time and have had their first Forest School session, where we made butterfly pictures and climbed lots of trees. Throughout the first two weeks the children have participated in a range of maths and literacy activities. These include writing their names, learning new sounds and matching a numeral with the quantity. The children have also been enjoying the garden and have been preparing the flower beds for the new crops. We are really impressed with how the children have settled into school life and they have been a pleasure to have in the classroom. We look forward to our year together and learning lots of new things. Here are some of the activities the children have been enjoying.
Willow R: "I have enjoyed playing with the blocks and playing in the home corner. I have enjoyed cutting and gluing and making pictures."
