Reception's First Two Weeks: Bold Beginnings

Leaving nursery behind and entering Reception is a big step for children; we are delighted all of the Reception children have made this transition look effortless.  Many thanks to all parents that have worked with us to ensure that your child was well prepared.

When the children arrived on their first day, in their smart uniforms they looked very grown up and serious. Most were full of positive emotions – excitement, confidence and happiness. Throughout the days and weeks we have seen these emotions expressed by all, as they embark on their Reception learning journey. From role playing in the Post Office, performing on the stage in the garden to signing their name on the ‘class register’ to bear hunts in Highgate Woods and the unforgettable ice skating at Alexandra Palace! Their journey has well and truly begun and each and every child is definitely intending to make their journey memorable.
