School Council Elections

Posted on: September 19th 2014

I am very excited to be taking on the role of overseeing the School Council this year which will give me the great opportunity of supporting the pupils in making their ideas a reality. I am always impressed with the confidence our pupils display and would like to congratulate all of those who were brave enough to stand for election and share their ideas. As many of you will know firsthand, it is no mean feat to overcome your fears of presenting to a large audience. The speeches include a wide range of ideas including, creative ways to raise money for charity, opportunities to share talents, expansion of the pupil buddying scheme to build strong links between the two sites, raising awareness of safety outside the school, improving the playground environment, and my personal favourite, a Norfolk House Bake Off! Following a democratic vote, I am delighted to announce our Councillors for this year - Maria R, Jacob, Finley, Grace, Charlie, Eloise, Kaya, Anna, Casper and Alara. I look forward to being in touch with more news from the School Council very soon. In the meantime, take a look at the video which includes highlights from the new Councillors’ speeches.
