On Thursday 3rd May, Senior Choir joined 500 children from 17 other schools at the Union Chapel in Islington, for a day of choral singing directed by composer and renowned jazz musician Scott Stroman.
Organised by the Independent Schools Association (ISA), the event was a fantastic way for our choir to spend some time with other choristers their age and to hear what it sounds like when hundreds of children sing in harmony together.
We had been studying Scott's compositions in choir - they were challenging but the choir were open-minded and embraced the new material.
It was a fantastic day, being directed by Scott Stroman, who is a leading light in music education and hugely charismatic. The children conducted themselves beautifully and sang their hearts out. They learnt a lot too!
