To coincide with the build-up to World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March, Weston Green School have extended an invitation for us to enter their creative writing competition to honour the wonderful writing talent that we have in Bellevue Schools.
We can enter one piece of work from each of the school departments- EYFS, Pre-Prep, Junior Prep and Senior Prep and the writing submitted must have been produced any time from September 2015 onwards. The teachers will soon be deciding whether they want to enter stories, essays or poems completed in the autumn term or inspire the children to write a new piece specifically for the competition. Three of the highest quality pieces of work from each department will be sent in to me and our Norfolk House judging panel by Friday 12th February in order for us to choose the best possible piece to enter for each category. Following the competition deadline of Monday 22nd February, Weston Green School will call upon two external judges and authors to consider the work produced and choose their winners, with prizes being awarded for each category.
I am hugely excited to have the opportunity to celebrate and showcase the fantastic writing that is produced by the talented children at Norfolk House and it is always a pleasure to see the great work that is happening in English lessons across the whole school. We will of course include the pieces of work selected for the competition in a future newsletter and keep you posted to let you know the final results of the competition.
