The Olympic Get Set Network

Posted on: September 23rd 2011

As you may remember last term, we became part of the Olympic Get Set Network, which is helping the children to learn more about the Olympics in the run up to the big event on July 27th.  With only 10 months to go, we have been thinking of ways we can help to promote the Olympic and Paralympic values around school.

Recently, we have established links with a school in The States. Children in all forms will be corresponding with peers of the same age, either by emailing, writing letters or through Skype appointments as part of their English and ICT curriculum. We are really excited about this project and hope that the children will gain a lot from it.

In Enterprise Club, the children will be testing, planning and making their own biscuits to sell in the playground -  more details to follow soon. We will be thinking about working as a team and the children will be sticking to a budget in order to create as much profit as possible for their club!
