The staff in Reception are very impressed with the way in which the children have settled into the school routine. They are happy to come into the classroom and independently empty their bags each day.
It is amazing to see how much they have learnt in just one week; the children are able to line up, raise their hand to speak and are beginning to develop some lovely friendships.
It has been a week of firsts! Reception had their very first music lesson, their first French lesson and their first assembly with Ms Habgood, where she commented on how pleased she was with their listening skills. It was great to see their confidence grow as they learnt to say ‘bonjour’ and ‘au revoir’ during French.
There have been some incredibly tired little faces at school, but we are pleased to announce that we have all survived 13 wonderful days at Norfolk House. Here’s to many more!
