Filled with beautiful paintings centuries old, the National Gallery is one of England’s most famous landmarks. Year 4 went to this grand, magnificent place on 20th February 2018. Whilst there, they had the opportunity to sketch famous paintings including pieces by Monet and Van Gogh. This was a thrilling and exciting experience.
First, a tour guide took us to a painting of a river and we were challenged to spot the smallest details. Then we were taken to a frozen winter painting where we were again challenged to discover minute details. Finally we saw Claude Monet’s original classics and sketched many famous paintings. We thoroughly recommend you paying it a visit!
