Young Writers Competition

In June, children in Forms 5 and 6 had the opportunity to enter a competition run by the Young Writers Company. They were asked to produce, in no more than 100 words, a piece of writing based on an Ancient Adventure. The successful writers would have their work published in a forthcoming book called 'Ancient Adventures - London'.

Here are the winners and their titles:

Sidney Embleton - The Slaughter of East France  F6A

Christopher Sergeant - Guy Fawkes Last Hour F6O

Keya Shah - Over the Top (now at Secondary School)

Leo Irvine - Raid of Tutankhamun's Tomb (now at Secondary School)

Leonard Stocker - The Sea of Doom (now at Secondary School)

Eva Brown - Day in the Life of a Chimney Sweep (now at Secondary School)

Amelie Blair - On my Own (now at Secondary School)

Holly Piccinin - Troy (now at Secondary School)

The publishing company are extremely pleased with the stories received and praised all of the winners from Norfolk House School for the quality of their historical writing. A huge well done to all the winners.
