On Friday 6th February, the school's football teams played a fixture against King Alfred School, Hampstead. The A team put in a very strong team performance and won their match 6-0, demonstrating great passing movements together with clinical finishing. It really was a great team effort.
The B team narrowly lost 5 -3 in a very exciting end to end game. This was particularly pleasing as some of the boys were representing the school in a football match for the first time. It was also admirable as they were up against children who were one or two years older than them.
Our C team, many of whom stood in at the last minute due to sickness, were also faced with opponents who were somewhat older and stronger than them and despite being defeated, showed great promise.
I would like to congratulate all the boys who played in this fixture for showing great enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout. Finally, I would like to say a big thank you to all the parents who came to support the children.
