It has been an exciting and joyous start to Form 4 this year. The children have taken on the responsibility of having their own desk and, so far, have been very mature in learning about how to best organise their belongings! On the first day back, each class completed some STEM activities where they were challenged to use minimal materials (such as paper, tape, straws and lolly sticks) to hold up objects like books and tennis balls. We were very encouraged to see some excellent cooperation between the children and we look forward to developing their problem solving skills as the year progresses. As well as having a lot of fun, we have also begun composing some enthralling fantasy writing that will support the children to develop their own fantasy stories. In science we have had a strong start researching habitats and meeting ‘MRS NERG…’
The children have shown a lot of maturity already towards their work, always trying their best and making sure that they support their peers, really reflecting our new Norfolk House Core Values. We were very proud that two of our children received awards at this week’s Celebration Assembly for demonstrating a caring nature.
Form 4 have really thrown themselves into this year, and we look forward to finding out what this new term will bring us!
