Senior Prep Football v Gatehouse

Posted on: February 3rd 2017 | Category:

On Friday 27th January 2017, the Senior Prep girls and boys football teams both competed in two different matches against Gatehouse school.

The girls started playing first. They had a fantastic team with Georgia North, Charlotte Seal, Leila Salem, Georgina Chan, Ava Rifat, Jessica Yam and Daisy Dawes. It started off very close but Daisy Dawes managed to score two goals in the first half. When the second half came, Gatehouse redeemed themselves by scoring a bottom corner goal. Not giving up, Ava Rifat cornered the ball into the centre of the box which left Daisy Dawes to score a Hatrick. The final result was 3-1 to Norfolk House Girls Football Team. First Match and a win! We would like to thank Mr Ashton and Mr. Holt for training us and taking their time to form us into an amazing team. Thank You!

Next the boys were playing. They had a very strong team with Casper Priest, Tommy Embleton, Christian Chesney, Luke Chesney, Zac Carter, Daniel Canwell and Ben Ellison. We started off very well, keeping the ball on the other half of the pitch. Daniel Canwell managed to take a longshot from the halfway line and scored straight into the goal. Gatehouse then scored a goal going straight past our goalkeeper. Being resilient, Norfolk House pushed the ball onto the other end of the pitch and Christian Chesney sprinted into the centre of the box carrying the ball with his feet and scored in the bottom right corner. That wasn't the end of it! Zac Carter (our football captain) decided to take charge and score a fantastic goal. When half time passed Gatehouse being very resilient, scored two close goals. When it was full time our final score was 3-3. Thank you Mr Holt for continually training the boys and making them an unstoppable team. Don't Give Up!!

Well Done both boys and girls for playing this match and thank you Gatehouse for being fantastic competitors! We are very grateful for Mr A and Mr Holt transporting us to the match and being the best coaches.
