Netball vs Salcombe

On Wednesday 7th  October, Norfolk House played their first away netball match of the season against Salcombe.

The selected team was: Olivia F, Beth B, Anna H, Marissa F, Meaghan L,Ava R, Daisy D, Georgia N and Jessica Y. Everyone was excited to play and experience the first away match of the term!

We started with a short warm up, and then the first quarter began. Both teams had very strong players and it was really tough. Our defenders were unbreakable, not letting in a single goal, whilst the attackers took every opportunity to get the ball down to the shooters.  After 8 minutes of playing, the first quarter was over. The score was 10-0 to Norfolk House. High spirited, the team had a little break and swapped subs on.  All the players gave it their all.

Apart from one or two injuries it was a very successful game, the final score was 23-6 to Norfolk House, all the girls were very pleased and proud as well as the teachers. We ended with smiling faces and a lot of celebrations from the girls. Everyone congratulated each other on the amazing playing from both teams. The team definitely learnt a lot of different skills along the way.

A big thanks to Miss Howson for organising the match, Mr Ashton for keeping the score throughout the game and cheering us on and for the parents coming to support the children.
The girls are super excited for the next match coming up.

Hockey
Here are a few snaps of our Year 4 children taking part in Hockey on a Wednesday. Mr Holt and Mr Ashton have been getting the children to practise dribbling the ball around cones as well as push passing it to another person.
